Good Soil

Since we’ve been back in Namibia the ground turned from dusty brown to beautiful green as days of rain soaked our parched land at the YWAM farm. This inspired Suzanne to plant a garden of veggies, herbs and flowers,but here in Namibia the hardest thing to find other than water is good soil.

Sofy Goliath is our God-daughter. She is a tall, beautiful ,very shy, 13 year old, young, woman. Her mother, Martha has worked for us and Community Hope for almost 20 years. When Sofy was born Suzanne and I attended a service at The Evangelical Lutheran Church that Martha attends. The service was completely in Damara, a language full of clicks and other sounds I cannot wrap my tongue around. We nodded our heads at the appropriate times and as God-parents we agreed to help provide for Sofy's education, I think :-).

Looking Forward

Looking Forward

2015 was our year to look back and praise God for all He accomplished in the lives of our students and staff at Community Hope during the past 10 years. The big event of the year was the Gala with over 200 guests from local businesses, government agencies, schools and churches. Even the Attorney General of Namibia came and gave an impromptu speech! Local Namibian friends and companies are beginning to support Community Hope.
